Regarding numbering in Farsi
Message: Hi, I am trying to translate a few things in Farsi, and I came with some enumerated text. I have learned persian only as a spoken language and although I can read and understand well, I do not possess the ability to write good literal works in persian. Therefore I am now having problem trying to find the right enumeration in Farsi. Enumeration by number is no problem, it is enumerated by arabic numbers. But what about alphabetic enumeration? like (a), (b) .. etc. (there are other variations like Roman numeral enumeration..etc., but I wouldn't want to know them). Is there any standard form of alphabetic enumeration in Farsi? or do they just copy the latin letters? Thanks in advance! Sincerely, Jose

We use also abjad letters (ابجد), those are special letters we have borrowed from arabic. They are:
اَبْجَد - هَوَّز - حُطّی - کَلَمَنْ - سَعْفَصْ - قَرَشَتْ - ثَخَّذْ - ضَظَغْ

You may use number just like what Google has used in its Farsi FAQ.
